A helping Hand
At The Pilgrims Rest we have designed our wedding venue to make it possible to have a great day without the need to spend a fortune hiring in furniture and accessories. Please see our What's Included page for a full list of what we have chosen to help make your day easier.
Whether you choose a have a self catered wedding, a fully catered wedding, or anything in between, a member of our wedding team is on hand to offer suggestions and answer any questions on the run up to your wedding. On the day itself, one of the team will be there from start to finish to ensure the safety of you and your guests.
If you are a dab hand in the kitchen and would like to do your own catering then let us know. If you would rather hand the reigns over to the professionals, we have our little black book of local suppliers. This includes some wonderful local caterers offering banquets to street food; classic cuisine to hog roasts. Alternatively, you might have a favourite caterer you would like to bring along.
We do no charge corkage giving you the time to buy your drinks as, and when, there are some great offers. Some caterers can also run a cash bar for you or we you can have a bar company to run the bar for the evening. Otherwise you might prefer to have an open bar - the choice is yours.
Suppliers who come to the venue itself on our list have previously worked at The Pilgrims Rest, are familiar with the building and are fully insured which is a pre-requisite for any supplier working in The Pilgrims Rest. We have no financial arrangement with any supplier listed and only list those who are professional and respectful of the historic nature of the building.
