The Pilgrims Rest- a unique exclusive use venue offering flexibility & choice for your wedding day11/4/2018 ![]() When we launched The Pilgrims Rest as a wedding venue in December 2016 our aim was to create a relaxed and happy place to marry. We wanted to be flexible - giving couples the choice to have their wedding day just how they wanted it. We designed the venue to include extras that we loved and would also help keep the cost of the wedding as low as possible. So, we sourced lime washed trestle tables that were big enough for sharing platters; Chivari chairs for the ceremony; pea-lights over the inglenook fireplaces and vintage decanters to serve the wine. We designed a bridal changing suite of rooms for the bridal party to get ready - a perfect backdrop for pre-wedding photographs. With lanterns to old books, pewter candle sticks and safety candles for the ceremony in The Great Hall we have tried to think of everything. We do not to charge for corkage, nor restrict couples to only using preferred suppliers. Our highly experienced team will make sure your wedding runs seamlessly on the day and are happy to offer advice, introducing you to any of our tried and tested local suppliers if you need a helping hand. When couples visit The Pilgrims Rest they often comment on the flexibility we offer them and although we feel this should be the norm apparently it is not. Many venues offer amazingly little flexibility and, in so doing, stop couples having any creative input into their own wedding. We hear countless stories of future brides and grooms being told “This is how we do it here” and leave feeling as if they are on a wedding conveyor belt. At The Pilgrims Rest we believe your wedding day should be just how you want it, allowing you the choice and flexibility to create an individual and personal day. We have designed the venue so that you can spend virtually nothing decorating the building or go to town - the choice is yours. Add as much, or as little, as you like - whether acres of bunting or greenery draped across the beams or a simple sprig of rosemary in a vintage bottle; The joy of The Pilgrims Rest is that both work. If you are looking for a happy, relaxed, exclusive use venue full of historic soul then The Pilgrims Rest might just be what you are looking for. If you would like to arrange to meet Amy to show you around please call 07552873448, or email venue@pilgrimsrestbattle.co.uk. Our website is www.pilgrimsrestbattle.co.uk. We recommend seeing the venue as it is deceptively spacious and hard to capture on film! Photographs courtesy of Georgina Piper Photography.
