  Planning a wedding can be a little daunting at the best of times. But now, with so much media coverage about inflation and the rising costs of living, it is understandable that booking a wedding raises concern with many couples considering whether to delay their wedding day for a little while longer. Many couples simply do not want to wait - and why should they? With a little careful planning and budget consideration anything is possible so if you find yourself in the “Go for it” camp then sit down and work out what you can afford; decide what is completely unnecessary from guests to wedding favours and then stick to your guns - and your budget. When we launched our 600 year old Wealden Hall house as a wedding venue, our aim was simple - to create a beautiful place to tie the knot that was affordable, yet aspirational. As the years have flown by, we have added to, and improved the venue, making life easier and less expensive for our couples. Now, five years down the line with many awards under our belt, we are confident that we have fulfilled our original aim. This doesn’t stop us though - looking at ways to make weddings less stressful and more fun is what we do well, and will carry on doing. In the Pilgrims fold we also have a professional interior designer and more recently a professional florist. They ensure the seasonal looks improve year on year and that the venue looks it's very best and Pinterest worthy for photographs. It is rare to find a dry hire wedding venue where so much is included (and I am not talking shiny chair covers and giant bows!) Decorating a venue can be hugely expensive and time consuming and it is easy to completely underestimate just how much you need to add to make a venue pop. Nobody wants to walk up the aisle totally exhausted.
